Washington, US: US President Donald Trump has criticised Spain over the migrant crisis in the Spanish territory of Ceuta, accusing the country of failing to control its border.
In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote, “So sad what is happening in Spain, a country with ZERO control of its Border. WOW!”

His comments came as Spain continued dealing with a major migrant influx from Morocco into Ceuta, amid questions over the actions of Moroccan security forces.
Trump had earlier called the situation “an outrage” in remarks to British television channel GB News. He also warned that the crisis could affect the wider European region, saying migrants entering Spain would continue moving into other countries.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has rejected claims that Morocco deliberately organised the influx. He said there was no “solid proof” from police, legal or international institutions showing that Morocco planned or carried out the incident.
However, a Spanish police report described the Moroccan response as one of “total permissiveness” and alleged that officers made no serious effort to stop the rush.
Morocco denied easing controls at the crossing and blamed misleading social media content for the sudden influx.
