Zelenskyy Says Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Facilities, Drone Site

Ukrainian forces struck an oil refinery in Russia’s Ryazan region and oil-processing facilities in Perm and Tatarstan, besides targeting a drone storage and launch site in Kursk and another target in the Black Sea, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday.

“Our warriors continue responding justly to Russian strikes on Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said in a post on X, adding that Ukraine had used long-range capabilities against the oil-processing facilities and the drone site.

The Ukrainian claims came amid continued Russian attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure and vessels. Russian state news agency TASS, citing the Russian Defence Ministry, reported that Russian drones struck the Mavka dry cargo vessel at the port of Chernomorsk on Sunday evening, allegedly while it was carrying military equipment.

Russian forces struck a production and loading complex at the port of Izmail on Monday, which Moscow claimed was being used to unload military cargo supplied to Ukraine by Western countries.

A patrol boat escorting vessels carrying military cargo was also hit in the Bla Sea. The Russian Defence Ministry had earlier said its forces struck two logistics centres in Ukraine’s Odesa region using Geran-4 seeker drones.

Both sides have continued to target energy, logistics and military-linked infrastructure as the conflict intensifies.
