NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile investigated the viral video and found it to be AI-generated and digitally manipulated.
To verify the claim, NewsMobile conducted reverse image searches of multiple keyframes from the video and carried out relevant keyword searches. However, the searches did not yield any credible evidence confirming that Salman Khan appeared in the footage.
NewsMobile also found no verified video, official social media post or credible media report showing Khan promoting a watch or making the claims heard in the viral clip.
Furthermore, Khan has not shared the video on his verified social media accounts.
A frame-by-frame analysis of the footage revealed several signs of AI manipulation, including unnatural facial features, inaccurate lip-sync, distorted body movements, inconsistent body proportions, and irregular lighting and shadows. The background also appears unusually smooth, lacking the depth and texture typically seen in authentic footage.
To further assess the authenticity of the video, NewsMobile analysed the footage using Hive Moderation, an AI detection tool. The tool flagged the video as AI-generated with a high probability, providing additional evidence that the footage had been digitally fabricated.
In conclusion, the viral video claiming that Salman Khan is offering an expensive watch to people who subscribe to his YouTube channel is AI-generated and digitally manipulated.
