NewsMobile investigated the viral post and found the claims to be false.

On closely analysing the viral video, we noticed a truck carrying a banner mentioning ‘World Tribal Day’. Several people in the crowd can also be seen carrying yellow flags, while no Congress flags are visible in the clip.

Taking a cue from this, we conducted a reverse image search using keyframes from the viral video. The search led us to a Facebook post by Vinoddj Vlog, dated August 10, 2026, carrying the same footage.

This confirmed that the video had been available online more than a month before Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ event, which was held in Indore on September 19.

Further searches led us to a video uploaded on YouTube by @DineshSolanki_indori on August 9, 2026. The video showed the same truck at the same location, surrounded by a crowd matching the one seen in the viral clip. The post identified the visuals as being from World Tribal Day celebrations in Indore.

We also found similar visuals on the Instagram account of Lokesh Mujalda, president of Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS). In a post dated August 9, Mujalda stated that a large number of people, including youths and supporters, had gathered in Indore under the leadership of JAYS to mark World Tribal Day.

According to the post, the rally was followed by a gathering at the Regional Park Ground, where issues concerning tribal rights, water, forests and land, the PESA Act, the Fifth Schedule, education, employment and the preservation of tribal culture were discussed.

A keyword search also led us to a Dainik Bhaskar report dated August 9, 2026, which confirmed that a large tribal rally had been organised in Indore on World Tribal Day. According to the report, thousands of youths participated in the procession, which began at the Lalbagh complex and passed through several parts of the city before concluding at Rajiv Gandhi Square.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show turnout at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ event held in Indore, is false.
