NewsMobile investigated the viral post and found the claims to be false.
We first conducted a keyword search to check whether any such incident of sexual assault had recently been reported inside the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. However, we could not find any credible recent report corroborating the viral claim.
During the search, we came across reports from September 2024 about a Dalit woman, who worked as a sanitation worker at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex, alleging gang rape.
According to the reports, a case was registered against nine people and five accused had been arrested at the time. The woman had filed her complaint on September 2, 2024. However, the reports did not state that the alleged sexual assault had taken place inside the Ram Mandir premises.
To determine the origin of the viral video, we conducted a reverse image search using its keyframes.
The search led us to the same video uploaded by News Express on Instagram on March 6, 2026. According to the post, the incident was from Haldwani, Uttarakhand, and involved a woman named Deeksha Palaria from Gaulapar, who had staged a protest at Buddha Park while levelling allegations of harassment against her in-laws.

According to the post, a crowd gathered at the park after the incident drew attention, while members of the woman’s family approached Haldwani Kotwali demanding action in the matter. During the protest, the woman’s health reportedly deteriorated, following which she was taken to a hospital.
Further searches led us to another version of the video uploaded by Uttarakhand News on YouTube on March 6. Its description also stated that the incident occurred in Haldwani, where the woman had staged a protest at Buddha Park alleging harassment by her in-laws.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show the aftermath of the sexual assault of a Dalit woman inside the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, is false.
