NewsMobile investigated the viral video and found it to be AI-generated and digitally manipulated.
To verify the claim, NewsMobile conducted reverse image searches of multiple keyframes from the video, along with relevant keyword searches. However, these searches did not yield any credible evidence confirming that Salman Khan appeared in the footage or made the statements heard in the video.
NewsMobile also found no verified video, official social media post or credible media report showing Khan promoting a watch or making the claims featured in the viral clip.
Moreover, Khan has not shared the video on any of his verified social media accounts.
A frame-by-frame analysis of the footage revealed several telltale signs of AI manipulation, including unnatural facial features, inaccurate lip-sync, distorted body movements, inconsistent body proportions, and irregular lighting and shadows. The background also appears unusually smooth and lacks the depth and texture typically seen in authentic footage.
To further assess the video’s authenticity, NewsMobile analysed the footage using Hive Moderation, an AI detection tool. The tool flagged the video as AI-generated with a high probability, providing further evidence that the footage had been digitally fabricated.
In conclsuion, the viral video claiming to show Salman Khan promoting a watch and asking fans to follow him is AI-generated and digitally manipulated.
