Neha Thakur Leaves Air Hostess Training To Become Himachal’s First Woman Truck Driver

Mandi, Himachal Pradesh: Neha Thakur has turned her childhood fascination with trucks into an unusual career, becoming Himachal Pradesh’s first woman truck driver.

Growing up in Mandi, Neha developed an early connection with trucks through her father, who would take her to school in his truck. Watching him work, she gradually began seeing him as her first role model.

After graduation, Neha initially chose a very different career. She moved to Chandigarh and trained to become an air hostess. However, she later returned to her passion for trucks and began driving professionally in 2022, with her father supporting her decision.

Neha also started recording her experiences on the road. Her content features different aspects of her daily life, including driving through the mountains, rain, and the loading and unloading of trucks.

Her videos gained wider attention after she drove along a route that many truck drivers avoid. A reel from the journey received millions of views, with viewers surprised by her confidence while navigating challenging terrain.

For Neha, content creation comes naturally from her profession. She believes she does not need to follow trends because every journey behind the wheel brings a new story to share.
