New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das has alleged that he, party founder Abhijeet Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka and other leaders could be arrested ahead of the outfit’s Oct. 10 protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
The protest is being organized to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
In a late-night post Sunday, Das alleged that the government’s “dictatorial actions” would not stop the mobilization, claiming that the younger generation had “awakened.”
🚨URGENT NEWS🚨
The government is planning on arresting me, Abhijeet, Ashutosh, Ratna and other Cockroach Janta Party leaders.
If the government thinks that such dictatorial actions will work, then they are mistakened! The young generation has awakened. We appeal to everyone to continue fighting for our rights and future, with or without us. We have always been ready to face the jail or worse. But this will be a big mistake. The young will not tolerate this.
The protests must continue. People of India should ensure the biggest mobilisation starting October 10th.

He appealed to supporters to continue the protest “with or without us” and said CJP leaders were prepared to face jail or worse.
Dipke also targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah, asking how many people would be arrested and claiming that “the whole country” would come to Delhi on Oct. 10.
Kitno ko arrest karoge @AmitShah?
10 Oct ko poora desh aa raha hai…

The claims came days after CJP held a protest at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, backed by Shiv Sena (UBT), demanding Kumar’s resignation.
The demonstration followed a report by The Indian Express that two Election Commissioners had raised objections to aspects of the SIR 14 times in 10 months.
The Election Commission rejected the report’s claims, saying differences of opinion were normal and that all decisions were taken unanimously.
