NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the image is AI-generated.
The NM Team initiated its verification by running a keyword search using relevant terms related to Smit Machchhar and the viral video. However, the search did not yield any credible news report confirming that the Indian pilot’s image had been displayed on the Burj Khalifa.
Further, if such a display had taken place, it would likely have been reported by credible news organisations or official sources. The absence of any such report raised questions about the authenticity of the viral video.
We then analysed the viral video using Hive Moderation, an AI-detection tool. The analysis indicated that the video was AI-generated.
Hence, it is evident that the viral video claiming to show Smit Machchhar’s image on the Burj Khalifa is AI-generated and falsely presented as real.
