Netanyahu Attacks Nobel Peace Prize Winner Navi Pillay, Calls Her A “Bigot”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has criticised Nobel Peace Prize winner Navi Pillay, accusing her of spreading false allegations against Israel and questioning the Nobel Committee’s decision to honour her.

In an English-language statement posted on X, the Prime Minister’s Office said the committee had made a serious error by awarding its highest honour to Pillay, whom it accused of promoting what it described as “blood libels” against Israel.

The statement also targeted Pillay’s role in matters involving International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan. It alleged that Khan used claims associated with Pillay to pursue a case against Israel while facing accusations of sexual misconduct from ICC employees.

The post further criticised the Nobel Committee for recognising Pillay, accusing her of contributing to what it called the demonisation of Jewish people and an injustice against Israel.

The remarks came after Pillay received the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts to promote peace and international law. The award has drawn criticism from both Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, who also shared a post attacking the decision on his Truth Social platform.
