NewsMobile investigated the viral video and found the claim attached to it to be misleading.
To verify the video’s authenticity, we extracted several keyframes and ran them through Google Lens for a reverse image search. The search led us to earlier versions of the same video, indicating that the footage was not related to the recent protests in Delhi.
We found that an Instagram account named Faruk Biswas (@faruk.biswas.581730) had shared the video on July 24, 2026, claiming it showed the student protests in Kolkata. The Instagram post can be seen here.

Further searches led us to the same video shared by a Facebook page called KaimurLive. Its caption stated that student protests were continuing in several parts of the country, including Kolkata, and referred to a large crowd of students on the streets of the city. The post also included the hashtag #NEETPaperLeak. The Facebook post can be seen here.
These earlier posts establish that the video was circulating in connection with student protests in Kolkata well before the October 10–11 protests in Delhi.
Hence, the viral claim linking the video to the recent CJP protests in Delhi is misleading.
