NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile investigated the viral video and found it to be AI-generated and digitally manipulated.
To verify the claim, NewsMobile conducted reverse image searches of multiple keyframes from the video and carried out relevant keyword searches. However, these searches yielded no credible evidence confirming that Salman Khan appeared in the footage.
NewsMobile also found no verified video, official social media post or credible media report showing Khan making the statements heard in the viral clip. The actor has not shared the video on his verified social media accounts either.
A frame-by-frame analysis of the footage revealed several indicators of AI manipulation, including unnatural facial features, inaccurate lip-sync, distorted body movements, inconsistent body proportions and irregular lighting and shadows. The background also appeared unusually smooth, lacking the depth and texture typically seen in authentic footage.
To further assess the video’s authenticity, NewsMobile analysed it using Hive Moderation, an AI detection tool. The tool flagged the footage as AI-generated with a high probability, providing further evidence that the video had been digitally fabricated.
Therefore, the viral video purportedly showing Salman Khan addressing his fans is AI-generated and digitally manipulated.
