Several people were injured after five vehicles in Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s convoy collided with an ambulance on the Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh, police said.
The accident occurred near Haliyapur, around 100 km from Lucknow, involving five vehicles travelling at the rear of the convoy. Gandhi remained safe in the incident.
Those injured include Congress workers and security personnel. Further details about the circumstances leading to the collision were not immediately available.
