A video showing a massive crowd carrying Indian national flags and surrounding a bus is being widely shared on social media with the claim that it shows the Tiranga March organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in Delhi on October 16, 2026.
In the viral clip, hundreds of people can be seen waving tricolours, while several individuals stand on top of a bus amid the gathering. The video is being circulated in the backdrop of the CJP’s call for a Tiranga March in Delhi, with users claiming that it shows a large turnout for the demonstration.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with the following caption:

NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile investigated the viral post and found the claims to be false.
To verify the video, the NewsMobile team examined the footage closely and noticed a signboard in the background displaying directions towards Gandhi Maidan, a prominent landmark in Patna.
Taking a cue from this, we conducted a reverse image search using keyframes from the viral video. The search led us to an Instagram video uploaded on August 19, 2026, featuring similar visuals from a protest march in Patna.

The video carried a caption indicating that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had been detained, following which party workers surrounded the bus in which he was being taken away.
Further searches revealed that the RJD had organised a march towards Raj Bhavan in Patna on August 19, 2026, raising issues related to unemployment, examination paper leaks and students’ concerns.
A large number of RJD workers participated in the demonstration, carrying Indian national flags. During the protest, Tejashwi Yadav was reportedly detained by police.
These details establish that the viral video predates the CJP’s October 16 Tiranga March in Delhi by nearly two months.
Meanwhile, the CJP had called for a Tiranga March in Delhi on October 16, amid protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and demands concerning the arrests of Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
Reports indicate that CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and other participants were detained by Delhi Police, although gatherings carrying the national flag were also reported at different locations around Connaught Place.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show a video of the Tiranga March organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in Delhi on October 16, 2026, is false.
