‘Gyanu Must Go’: CJP Supports INDIA Bloc’s November 1 Rally

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has extended its support to the INDIA bloc’s planned rally on November 1, which is seeking the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over concerns surrounding the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

Using the slogan “Gyanu must go”, the party alleged that Kumar had lost the public confidence needed to supervise free and fair elections.

It also called for steps to rebuild trust in the Election Commission and protect its independence.

In its statement, the CJP raised concerns that the SIR process could lead to eligible voters being removed from electoral rolls, questioning its impact on democratic representation.

The party stressed that the authority to choose a government belongs to citizens and should not be influenced by decisions that could restrict their voting rights.

It argued that Kumar’s departure was necessary to restore confidence in the electoral process.

The INDIA bloc’s November 1 rally is expected to focus on these concerns, with the CJP joining the demand for accountability over the revision exercise and the Election Commission’s role in safeguarding electoral democracy.
