Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his parliamentary constituency, Kashi, on Sunday, inaugurating the first manufacturing plant of textile manufacturer Arvind Limited (Arvind Mills) in Khochwan, Mirzamurad, built at a cost of approximately Rs 150 crore. During the visit, he interacted with women workers undergoing training at the plant and later watched the air show at Namo Ghat held as part of ‘Wings Over Ganga’ to commemorate the 94th anniversary of Air Force Day.

The air show witnessed large crowds at Namo Ghat, all the other 84 Ganga Ghats, and the sandy banks on the opposite side of the Ganga. The presence of their MP and Prime Minister among them was evident as people gathered to watch the aerial display.

Upon arriving at the venue, Modi was greeted with thunderous chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” in keeping with Kashi tradition. The chants continued throughout the air show.
