Trump Offers $1 Million Reward for Information on Voter Fraud

Washington DC: US President Donald Trump has announced a $1 million reward for information about alleged voter fraud in past elections or the upcoming 2026 US midterm elections, while questioning Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s election victory without presenting evidence of fraud.

In a post on Truth Social on Monday, Trump said the reward would be given to anyone whose information leads to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for voter fraud.

The announcement comes ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections, in which voters will decide control of Congress amid continuing political disputes over election integrity.

Trump also questioned Brazil’s presidential election, saying it “looked like another rigged election” after Lula defeated right-wing challenger Flavio Bolsonaro by more than 4 million votes.

Trump questioned the vote-counting process and criticized a two-hour extension of voting ordered by Brazil’s Supreme Court, suggesting the move raised concerns about the election’s integrity.

Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin rejected Trump’s allegations, calling them unfounded. Trump had not publicly endorsed Flavio before the election.

Lula’s victory also unsettled financial markets, with Brazil’s currency falling 8.1% against the US dollar, marking its steepest single-day decline since 2002.

The result defied polling expectations and came as conservative forces strengthened their position in Congress, potentially complicating Lula’s next term.
