FBI Director Kash Patel is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, with the couple announcing the news on X on Sunday.
Wilkins, 27, shared a black-and-white picture showing her standing beside the 46-year-old Patel while displaying her engagement ring. Her caption read, “Went and got the law involved.” Patel later shared the post with heart and diamond ring emojis.

The couple reportedly met at a friend’s event in Nashville in 2022 and began dating in early 2023. Wilkins also attended Patel’s FBI swearing-in ceremony on February 21, 2025.
Their relationship has received public attention since Patel became FBI director, including questions surrounding his aircraft use and lawsuits filed by Wilkins.
Speaking on the Megyn Kelly Show last year, Wilkins discussed their first meeting and dismissed questions about their age difference, saying, “We just happened to meet.”
She said she was drawn to Patel because of his honesty and described him as someone who remains the same person in every situation. She also praised his character and values.
Wilkins made another rare public appearance at Patel’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on FBI oversight on September 15.
