Indian Embassy Warns Nationals In Saudi Arabia To Stay Indoors

The Embassy of India in Riyadh has advised Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia to remain alert, stay indoors when necessary and follow instructions issued by local authorities through official channels.

The embassy has also urged Indians not to circulate or repost “any videos or news related to the ongoing events.”

The advisory comes amid disruptions at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport following a fresh Houthi attack claim. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group targeted the airport with a ballistic missile, affecting its operations.

Saudi authorities have reported deadly attacks on Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport over the past two days. According to Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation, three people were killed and 36 others injured.

India has strongly condemned the attacks, calling the targeting of civilian infrastructure “completely unacceptable”.

The Ministry of External Affairs said, “India condemns the attacks over the past few days targeting Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which have resulted in civilian deaths and injuries.”

New Delhi also expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, the Consulate in Jeddah and VFS will continue normal operations.
