Indian National Charged With Criminal Trespass at Singapore Grand Prix

An Indian national has been charged with two counts of criminal trespass for allegedly entering restricted areas at the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix without authorisation, according to a media report on Monday.

Daver Arish Adil, 39, was allegedly found in a ticketed area near Gate 2 on Temasek Avenue at around 1.45 pm on October 9.

He is also accused of entering “the wharf” area along Raffles Boulevard at around 2 pm the same day. The area was reportedly restricted to Singapore Grand Prix staff.

Adil was charged on October 10, and his case is scheduled to be mentioned again in court on Friday.

Under Singapore law, each count of criminal trespass carries a maximum penalty of three months’ imprisonment, a fine of SGD 1,500, or both.

The Singapore Grand Prix was held over the weekend, with the race concluding on Sunday. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the event.
