Ireland has announced €500,000 in emergency humanitarian assistance to support relief efforts in Nepal following devastating floods and landslides that have caused widespread destruction and loss of life.
The funding will be channeled through humanitarian partners to help provide essential assistance to communities affected by the disaster, including people who have been displaced or are in urgent need of support.
Ireland also expressed solidarity with the people of Nepal and offered condolences to families who have lost loved ones in the disaster.
The assistance comes as Nepal continues large-scale rescue and relief operations in several flood- and landslide-hit areas. Infrastructure, including roads, bridges and power facilities, has suffered extensive damage, while thousands of people remain missing or affected.
Irish authorities said the emergency funding reflects Ireland’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities during major humanitarian crises.
Nepal has received international assistance as governments and humanitarian agencies step up efforts to rescue survivors, provide emergency supplies and assess damage in the worst-affected regions.
