Rubio said hatred and ignorance exist across societies and that the US is not immune to such incidents. However, he said he had not observed widespread anti-Indian sentiment in the country.
Acknowledging that some individuals hold prejudiced views, Rubio expressed pride in how communities support people targeted by hate. He said solidarity often extends beyond the affected community, with others joining in to condemn such acts.
Rubio also recalled an attack targeting the Sikh community in Wisconsin, highlighting how people came together to support those affected.
He further pointed to rising antisemitism in the United States, describing it as deeply troubling.
Rubio said such incidents must be addressed and rejected, stressing the importance of communities standing together against hatred and prejudice.
