NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the video is AI-generated.
The NM team initiated its verification by running keyword searches and reverse image searches on keyframes from the viral video. However, we could not find any credible or reliable source linking the video to the September 6 Satya Niketan incident.
During the verification, we noticed several inconsistencies in the viral video. The text appearing in the video contains a spelling error in the name “Satya Niketan”. The sequence showing a man running towards the collapsing building also raised doubts about the authenticity of the footage.
For further confirmation, the viral video was analysed using Hive Moderation, an AI-detection tool. The analysis indicated a greater than 99.4% probability that the video was AI-generated.
Hence, it is evident that the viral video being shared as footage of the Satya Niketan building collapse is AI-generated and does not show the actual incident.
