NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the video is AI-generated.
The NM team initiated its verification by first conducting a Google search using relevant keywords. We could not find any similar video of the same person on any credible media website or reliable source, which raised doubts about the authenticity of the viral footage.
On closely examining the video, we noticed several inconsistencies. The people in the background appear to react in an unnatural and repetitive manner, with several spectators waving Indian flags in a similar, almost robotic manner. These visual inconsistencies indicated that the video could have been generated or manipulated using AI.
The NM team then analysed the viral video using the AI detection tool Hive Moderation. The tool indicated a 98% probability that the video was AI-generated.
Hence, it is evident that the viral video purportedly showing a disabled girl performing gymnastics without arms is AI-generated and is being circulated with a false claim.
