A video purportedly showing a woman stopping a bus during the Cockroach Janata Party’s (CJP) protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar is being widely shared on social media. The video is being circulated with claims that the woman participated in the ongoing protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Several users have also criticised the woman over her choice of clothing.

NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the video is AI-generated.
The NM team initiated its verification by conducting a keyword search and a reverse image search using keyframes extracted from the viral video. However, we could not find any credible sources or independent reports corroborating the claim that the video shows a woman participating in the CJP protest.
Upon closely examining the video, we noticed several visual inconsistencies that raised doubts about its authenticity. The microphone held by a media person appeared to merge with the woman’s hand and briefly disappear from view. People in the background also appeared to emerge unexpectedly from behind the woman. Additionally, the insignia on the police personnel’s caps appeared distorted, while a ring worn by the woman disappeared in one of the frames.
Furthermore, the reporter interacting with the woman appeared to have an unnaturally crossed arm, providing another visual clue that the footage may have been artificially generated.
To further verify the video, we analysed its keyframes using Hive Moderation, an AI-detection tool, to assess whether the footage contained signs of AI generation. The analysis was used alongside the visual inconsistencies observed during our examination.

Hence, it is evident that the viral video is AI-generated and does not provide authentic evidence of a woman stopping a bus during the CJP’s anti-CEC protest at Jantar Mantar. The claim accompanying the video is misleading.
