NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the video is AI-generated.
The NM team began verification by running keyframes from the viral video through a reverse image search but found no relevant information to establish the video’s authenticity. We also found no credible media reports carrying the viral footage as genuine CCTV footage of the Seemapuri incident.
Upon closer examination, the video revealed several inconsistencies. The timestamp displayed on the footage changes from 15:27:12 to 15:27:18, indicating an irregular sequence. Additionally, a biker seen in front of the building appears to move backwards, raising further doubts about the video’s authenticity.
We subsequently ran the video using Hive Moderation, an AI-detection tool. The analysis indicated that the video was AI-generated.

Meanwhile, reports confirm that a four-storey building collapsed in Seemapuri on October 7, killing five people. However, the viral video does not depict the actual collapse.
Hence, the viral video claiming to show CCTV footage of the Seemapuri building collapse is AI-generated and falsely linked to the real incident.
