NM VERIFIED
NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the image is AI-generated.
The NM team initiated its verification after coming across the viral video. Using relevant keywords, we searched for information about the alleged incident and the viral video. However, we could not find the video on any credible news platform or any reliable report confirming that such a rescue took place.
We then closely examined the video and noticed several inconsistencies. The shape and appearance of the baby elephant’s left leg appear unnatural in some frames. The people seen in the video also have distorted and unrealistic features, raising suspicion that the visuals may have been artificially generated.
To further verify the video’s authenticity, we analysed it using Hive Moderation’s AI-generated content detection tool. The analysis indicated a 99.7% probability that the video was AI-generated.

Hence, it is evident that the viral video purportedly showing the rescue of a baby elephant from railway tracks is AI-generated and does not depict a real incident.
