A video purportedly showing a calf trying to drink milk from a picture of a cow mounted on a milk truck is going viral on social media. The video is being shared with the claim that the calf mistook the image of the cow for its mother.

NewsMobile verified the claim and found that the video is AI-generated.
The NM team began verification by running a keyword search using phrases from the viral claim. However, the team found no credible reports or reliable sources confirming that the incident actually took place.
We then closely examined the viral video and noticed several visual anomalies. Most notably, the first letter on the vehicle’s licence plate appears to change at different points in the video, indicating possible AI manipulation or generation.
Different versions of the same incident- the same video are available on social media.
To further verify the video’s authenticity, the NM team analysed it using Hive Moderation’s AI-generated content detection tool. The analysis indicated a 99.9% probability that the video was AI-generated.
Hence, it is evident that the viral video claiming to show a calf mistaking a cow’s picture for its mother is fake and AI-generated.
